How membership works
A straightforward, evidence-based process designed to be fair to everyone.
Membership is a commitment, not a badge
Membership in Trusted Community is not a passive status or a pay-to-play marketing tool. It is a proactive commitment to a shared set of ethical standards. When an organisation joins, they are not just joining a list — they are entering into a formal agreement to remain accountable to the standards set out in our handbook.
What membership includes
- Assessment against our 10 Eligibility Standards.
- Permission to reference your membership publicly.
- Inclusion on the Public Register.
- Ongoing accountability and periodic review.
- A digital Trusted Community badge upon approval
What membership does not include
- Marketing, promotional activity, or advertising.
- Guarantees of quality, outcomes, or client satisfaction.
- Intervention in disputes or commercial matters.
- Legal, regulatory, financial, or professional advice.

2
Transparency and public presence

5
Sector eligibility
Some sectors are excluded to protect the public. This includes adult services, gambling, and high-risk speculative financial schemes.
6
Accuracy and truthfulness
All information provided must be current, verifiable, and honest. Submission of forged documents results in a permanent ban.
7
Alignment with the Code of Conduct
Applicants must formally confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the Full Code of Conduct.
8
Honest public representation
Marketing materials must accurately reflect reality. No false promises or guaranteed claims that cannot be substantiated.
